Vitamins, Supplements from Sp

A number of supplements are required for optimum health depending on the time of life. 

Sp provide A-Z family mulivitamins and Childrens chewable multivitamins.  As the body ages vitamins and minerals are harder for the body to isolate so we provide multivitamins and minerals for 50+.

Some cultures benefit enourmously from a vegetarian diet.  For example in china breast cancer is virtually unknown which reflects the lack of dairy products there.  As the body ages the body becomes less tolerant of dairy, wheat and meat products.  A vegetarian diet, particularly a strict Vegan diet,  can have significant health benefits.  However improved diet can leave the body short of B12, Iron, Zinc, Omega 3 fatty acids and Calcium.  B12 in particular should be taken as a supplement on the recommendation of the Vegan Society.

Joints benefit from glucosamine (we supply a vegetarian glucosamne) and Vitamin C and Rosehip.  Vitamin C is also an excellent supplement to assist the body detox itself of pesticide residues and toxins.

Under the broad heading digestion I include the following popular supplements.  Aloe vera, Garlic, Ginger, Green tea, Korean Ginseng, Acai Berry.  While traditional and scientific evidence of health benefits for Acai berry is lacking it is one of the most popular supplements and has an evident anti oxidant effect so we include it on our list.
