THANKS FOR HELPING OUR 'FUN'DRAISING

We and many of our therapists and customers are addicted to 'fun'draising.  Our chosen charities are Help the Hospices and MND Association.
MND events take place throughout the country and throughout the year.  Walking is a great way of fundraising and good for the kids too.  Walks include a family friendly 2 miles routes and a lengthier 9-10 mile walks.  Events are animal friendly.  Do bring the dog.
Why MND?  Why walking?  MND sufferers number 5000 in the UK.  The most well known sufferer is Stephen Hawking.  Stephens life is an example of why the work of MND is so valuable.  Not only has Stephen overcome the despair of a diagnosis of a life changing and ending disease but he has found love and raised a family.  His work on Cosmology and his popular book has opened up the public mind to the wonders of the Universe and in doing so has made us realise just how special each and everyone of us really are.  The matter in our bodies was made in stars trillions of miles away and billions of years ago.  That is an awe inspiring thought.  As to walking we can all walk and its doubly sweet to do that as a family.
As ever we are fans of technology and its easy to support our chosen charity, others and organise your own events on www.justgiving.com.  My page is www.justgiving.com/ianbrealey.  I believe the act of giving however small contributes to a positive mood state and sense of optimism.
kind regards

Ian Brealey BSc FCA
Director

Ian's first charity fundraising event was a personal challenge to get fit and ride in a point to point.  £1500 was raised by donations from KPMG staff in aid of Sudan Famine Relief.

With a study of aromatherapy comes the realisation that our physical health is but one aspect of our wellbeing and can suffer if the other aspects of our wellbeing, particularly our psychosocial wellbeing suffer.

What do we mean by the five elements of wellbeing?
The first element is about how you occupy your time or simply liking what you do every day: your Career Wellbeing.
The second element is about having strong relationships and love in your life: your Social Wellbeing.
The third element is about effectively managing your economic life: your Financial Wellbeing.
The fourth element is about having good health and enough energy to get things done on a daily basis: your Physical Wellbeing.
The fifth element is about the sense of engagement you have with the area where you live: your Community Wellbeing.
